* ~ PRACTICE HTML FILE 2 ~ *

IMPORTANT!: save new files on neocities as .html (actually type it in) or else it'll just exist as an undefined file and won't open!!

I'd like to get finished with HTML ASAP so I can learn CSS so my websites will actually look good.

I also wanna actually start building the TCoCC website but I don't know what to put in it yet...
unless i code something FUN and not just for practice right here on thenettlepatch. like... idk, any sort of webpage.

DIGITAL STYLE! aka, HTML styles

I remember last type that the font wouldn't work.

So basically styles are an attribute. Like other attributes, you put them in the start tag.

Gonna set a background color.

Maybe it would be useful to find some free color picker application so that I don't have to open, idk, Ibis Paint whenever i wanna find a pretty color and its hex code.
oh... COOLORS?

Coolors is actually so good wtf. You can copy hex codes just by clicking...

AUUUGH MY SITE IS SO PRETTY WTF YAYAYYYAYYYYY!! MY FIRST PRACTICE SITE LOOKED SO SCRAPPY BUT LOOK!!!! I'M IMPROVING!!!!

This text is purple.

once i learn about hex codes enough to edit colors in my head and not with a color picker it is OVER for everyone!!

I wonder if you can change the color of text within a paragraph...

Be careful dude, that was pretty EDGY

I don't think that's how that works...

~~~
I'm gonna try to set a font on this entire web page by typing it into the body element.
I don't think that worked.
Piss.
Piss.
Piss.
Pretty!
Pretty!
Pretty!
Pretty!
ho why did preformatting it make the line breaks BIGGER
Wait... I think i figured it out...
PISS!!!
HAHAHA SOMETHING GOOD CAME OUT OF MY TWEAKING!!
I can use this in the body element too!! My webpage is all courier now! Hahaha!!
I still wanna figure out how to add attributes to text within a paragraph though.
FORMATTING
I know a lot of this already from my Deviantart days.
I wonder how small you can make a text using just the "small" element.
That joke was really something! Something awful...
I think it maxes out at around 5 times.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeee
Weeeeeeeeeeeeee
SUMMARY OF ALL THESE WEIRD AND OVERLY SPECIFIC FORMATTING TYPES
strong: Strong importance. Usually bold.
i: Text "in an alternate voice or mood." For all intents and purposes, the same thing as italic.
em: Emphasized text. Is read with emphasis by screen readers. (But I think italic text is too? I assume?) Usually italic.
mark: Marked text. Usually highlighted.
del: Deleted text. Essentially same as strikethrough.
ins: Inserted text. Usually underlined.
Weirdly, the underline element isn't in this lesson.
If there is small, is there big?
No way! Was W3Schools holding out on us??
QUOTATION AND CITATION STUFF
What exactly does the cite attribute do? Is it a screenreader-only thing? Can you only see who's cited if you inspect the page?
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway, because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.
According to Barry B. Benson, even though bees seem like they wouldn't be able to fly, they fly anyway because they don't care what humans think is impossible.
(I keep forgetting the title attribute exists and you can use it on anything.)
It's fun to stay at the YMCA! However, watch out if you ever find yourself in the YMCA....
Don't try to contact me you fuckwits.
Candle Cove is an interesting story.
After reading this, you may have a headache. Why is this element included in this section anyhow?
I'll skip the comment lesson in this webpage because I already know everything about comments and I can't really create anything visible on the webpage using it. In fact, maybe I'll start another webpage next time. This one is getting to be long.
